Welcome to X-Men: Unhinged Evolution!
We are an alternate universe X-Men: Evolution roleplaying game that accepts canon/original characters and fun, creative writers. The time is set before season 1.
Mutants are not yet known to the public, but when superpowers are in the hands of hormonal teenagers who knows how long that will last. Professor Xavier is doing his best to delay the process by homing these young mutants and teaching them to control their powers. Magneto and Mystique are doing something similar.
So far, the only mutants living at the Xavier Institute are Ororo and Logan, whereas the Brotherhood of Bayville Boarding House is virtually unoccupied.
Who will be next? Who will be the X-Men? Who will be the Brotherhood?

Bayville gets slammed with a snow storm in early February and as such the high school is closed for a couple of days. Due to inclement weather, there will be no school February 6th and February 7th. Shovel out your vehicles then run back inside to warm up by the fire with some cocoa.

I can't tell what their powers are. I see a lot of telekinesis? Except for Sunspot, Lorna and Blink, of course.

Noah breathed a sigh of relief and dusted off his hands after helping his new roommate carry his bags all the way from the front gate to his (their?) bedroom on the second floor. "That's everything, right?"
he asked just to be sure, flashing the handsome Southern boy the friendliest of smiles. "Great! Now we can begin the tour,"
Noah beamed, maybe a little too much, and headed out the door. He was both nervous and excited. Mostly nervous. Never did he think he would be giving a tour of the X-Mansion, being relatively new himself, but he couldn't help but volunteer when the Professor asked. He knew the place well enough, having been living here for over three weeks, and he knew it'd be the perfect way to get to know his new roommate, Jay Guthrie, who he imagined himself spending a lot of time with from now on. Well, maybe
. Hopefully."So, this is where all of us sleep,"
Noah explained as he walked down a long stretch of hallway. "Well, most of us,"
he amended, then immediately wished he hadn't. He guessed Jay would find out about his weird sleeping habits soon enough, but he didn't want to rush the process. A part of him even thought having a roommate might help him sleep in his own bed more easily."Aaliyah and Kitty live here. Clarice lives here. X-23 lives here. Kyle lives here,"
he said, pointing to each bedroom door he passed before making a left at the corner. "Oh, I almost forgot,"
Noah spat out, smacking himself in the forehead with a palm, and stopped in his tracks. "I'm such a bad tour guide,"
he muttered to himself, his smile widening with embarrassment, before asking, "Do you, um, have any questions? About the school or anything?"

Several minutes ago, all Noah wanted to do was see a frozen lake for the first time. Now, all he wanted to do was go back to the mansion and up to his room where he could crawl into his nice, warm bed and curl up under his nice, warm covers. There was no place he’d rather be, but he couldn’t get there soon enough. The worst part of it was that he lacked snow boots, forced to walk through the deep snow in his sneakers, which were now soaked.
Why can't I fly like Laurie? Or teleport like Clarice? Or have some other mutant power that would help me get to get inside faster? whined Noah mentally as he tried to brave the cold and ignore the stiff pain in his face as best as he could. “Hate the cold, hate the cold, hate the cold,” he muttered under his breath, which he could see quite perfectly, over and over again, his lips trembling.
Wearing only a jean jacket, a Bayville High sweatshirt, a t-shirt and athletic sweatpants, maybe if he had a snow coat he would've made it all the way to the lake without bailing. But he didn't own such a thing, born and raised in Florida where it was rarely cold and literally never snowed.
Oh, how he missed Florida right now. Not necessarily the people, but the place. It was beautiful in comparison. The warm climate. The palm trees. The beach... Oh, how he missed the beach.
Imagining himself back home only helped for so long before he felt the frigid wind and rush of snowflakes whip at his face again, bringing him back to reality.
“Why is it so freakin' cold!?” Noah bellowed, shivering wildly in a desperate attempt to warm himself up. Oddly enough, it worked, almost immediately feeling the heat rise to his cheeks and return to his toes.
Noah quirked a brow and looked up, confused. Snow continued to fall from the sky, but no longer could it reach him as though an invisible force-field surrounded his entire body, even his feet. Noah looked down and widened his eyes in amazement at how the snow pushed itself away from him with every step he took. "Whoa."

Noah stuffed his face with large bag of baked potato chips. These ones were cheddar flavored and oh-so-delicious
. They weren't, however, enough. He poured the last few chips into his mouth like a drink and munched away happily. But once the munching was over he wanted more. Ugh
. All he could think about was his powers, how uncontrolled they were, how he would never be normal again. Luckily, more than a week had passed since his last outburst
, mostly thanks to the Professor's advice: to stay calm. But he couldn't help but feel like a ticking bomb, ready to go off at any given moment. Okay, maybe he was exaggerating a little? It wasn't like he actually hurt
Noah sighed. Other than swimming, what better way was there to stay calm? Junk food was definitely the tastiest
food, aside from his moms' cooking, which he sadly didn't have access to anymore. He guessed that was another reason he couldn't help but feel like this. Unsettled. He was away from home, and although he knew it was for the best it was stressful getting to know new people and trying to get them to like him. He missed his moms.
He opened another kitchen cabinet in search of more sustenance before the cupboard beside him suddenly opened as though by a ghost. Or a mutant. Probably a mutant. Still, it wasn't every day he saw a floating box of cheerios. Quirking a curious brow, Noah followed the floating cereal box to a redheaded girl who looked a little like his friend from school, Julie.
Noah hadn't gotten the chance to meet her one-on-one yet, nor could he remember her name (Jennifer, maybe?), but he had definitely heard of her, knowing her to be sort of an old friend of the Professor. He wasn't sure how or why, though. Should I say hi?
he thought, biting his lower lip nervously.
