Welcome to X-Men: Unhinged Evolution!

We are an alternate universe X-Men: Evolution roleplaying game that accepts canon/original characters and fun, creative writers. The time is set before season 1.

Mutants are not yet known to the public, but when superpowers are in the hands of hormonal teenagers who knows how long that will last. Professor Xavier is doing his best to delay the process by homing these young mutants and teaching them to control their powers. Magneto and Mystique are doing something similar.

So far, the only mutants living at the Xavier Institute are Ororo and Logan, whereas the Brotherhood of Bayville Boarding House is virtually unoccupied.
Who will be next? Who will be the X-Men? Who will be the Brotherhood?

You decide.

Happy roleplaying!

I'm throwing this up here for those who are interested in interactions with either Shadowcat or Omega.

I haven't interacted with many players, just yet, but wanted to express that I'm, naturally, happy to.

Forewarning, they crayzee.

    [Basic Stats]

    Full Name: Charles Francis Xavier
    Nickname(s):
    Alias(es):

    DOB: August 7, 1938

    Classification: Mutant
    Codename: Professor X
    Alliance: X-Men
Evo Canon, Comics Canon or Original: Canon

    Place of residence: New York
    Occupation: X-Men founder, Institute Headmaster

    [Appearance]

    Height: 6'2 (standing)
    Weight: 160lbs
    Hair: Bald
    Eyes: Bue
    Skin: H'white

    Build: Atrophy
Dress: Xavier maintains a professional look under most circumstances. He is almost always decked out in a swanky, polished suit and bowtie.
Other: Xavier is paralyzed from the waist down.

    Play-By: James McAvoy

    [Psychological Profile]

General Personality: Xavier is ultimately an optimist. Given the nature of his abilities, he truly can see the good in all people. Although he feels he bears the weight of responsibility of all of mutantkind on his shoulders, he takes that mantle with pride, boldly harbingering in the new and booming generation of mutants. He exudes Everybody's Favorite Dad form his pours.

His once overbearing dickery has evolved and matured into the most subtle kind of humor. He can throw shade so tactfully, you'll probably think you threw it at yourself. He lives for other's in embarrassing moments.

Xavier does not come without flaw. At times, he passion for the cause is so great, he might come across a bit manic. He can be pushy and domineering in times of great stress, and his expectations of his pupils and allies can exceed any and all limitations.

    [Abilities]

Mutant Power(s): Xavier is an immensely powerful psionic mutant with traditionally psychic abilities.

Telepathy: Able to send and receive verbal and visual thoughts.

Illusions and Memory Altering: Able to create extremely realistic illusions to make someone experience something that isn't there or happening. He is able to cast these over memories in order to alter them.

Mind Control: Able to overtake anyone's free will to control their thoughts and actions.

Psionic Blast: Able to project psionic blast that cause no physical damage, but incredibly painful mental damage. The can knock someone unconscious, put them into a coma, or even shut their entire body down, permanently.

Mental Cloak: Xavier is able to mask himself so that he appears as someone else, or is entirely unregistered by anyone. He can mask his presence on the psychic plane as well, so that other psionic mutants cannot register his presence.

Amnesia: He can force someone to forget an event or entirely wipe their minds, temporarily or permanently.

Psychic Shield: Able to protect himself and others from psionic intrusion and attacks by maintaining an impenetrable shield on minds.

Astral Projection: Xavier possesses an astral form. With this, he can appear anywhere around the globe at any point in time, either visibly or not. He is also able to project his consciousness onto the astral plane itself, where his abilities are highly magnetized. He is able to interact with the astral plane itself, and communicate with those on the astral plane, even able to conduct some form of battle there. He is also able to forcibly pull astral forms from the bodies, regardless if they have any psionic abilities themselves.

Biggest Drawback(s): Perhaps that he is too powerful. The craving exists to simply control people to do what he wants, wipe memories when he's done something of questionable morality, etc.

Non-mutant power(s): All around genius. Military training.

    [Background Check]

    Hometown: Westchester, New York
    Birthplace: New York City
Family: Dr. Brian Xavier (father, deceased), Sharon Xavier-Marko (mother, deceased), Dr. Kurt Marko (step father, deceased), Cain Marko (step brother, status unknown), David Haller (unknown son)

Criminal Record: A few misdemeanors from college

History: Dr. Brian Xavier and wife Sharon welcomed young Charles in 1938. All was well for seven great years until Brian unexpectedly died. Shortly after, Sharon met and was courted by another doctor, Kurt Marko. And it was during this time that he met the most peculiar, blue shapeshifting mutant named Raven whom he caught pilfering food from their kitchen. Charles, having shown the beginnings of his telepathic abilities, felt a camaraderie with the girl, and she began sleeping in their large estate. It was easy to hide her for a while, and then eventually, Charles was able to use his abilities to mask her presence from the family, even after Sharon wed Doctor Marko and introduced Charles to an angry, volatile step brother named Cain.

As Charles grew so too did his telepathic abilities, and Cain grew jealous and more violent, Kurt grew abusive, and Sharon grew alcoholic. Charles began using his abilities against his own family in an attempt at self preservation, and in some capacity, revenge. Raven was his only form of support during this time, keeping him as grounded and level headed as she could.

When Dr. Marko realized what Charles had been doing to him, he made arrangements for the boy to be sent to a boarding school in England. Raven went with him, creating a "permanent" appearance for herself, and Charles manipulated the faculty into allowing her full enrollment. They remained there until Charles was 18, never having visited home even once. However, upon their return to New York, he learned what had become of his family. Cain had transformed into a mentally deranged, gargantuan brute with unstoppable strength, and Dr. Marko and Sharon had remained hostages on the estate with him for years.

Upon seeing Charles, Cain's age old rivalry spiraled wildly out of control, and he went on a rampage. The destruction was so immense, Dr. Marko and Sharon became trapped under collapsed debris and died. Charles managed to subdue this Juggernaut, but not before some public attention had been gained. Fortunately, this was written off as one giant freak anomaly, and Xavier claimed the use of an old psychiatric device his birth father once used on particularly challenging cases. Cain was placed under government custody. Without a way to hold him if he was conscious, he has remained in an induced coma since the occurrence.

After his initial grieving period found some level of lull, Xavier and Raven attended college. During their doctorate studies, they were approached by the same select government branch that had custody of Cain. Evidently, a very politically and financially powerful group of elites called the Hellfire Club were threatening some kind of global war. They asked for Xavier's help in developing a machine that might replicate the effects of what he had done to Cain, believing the device could be a neutralizer for the very mysterious Hellfire Club.

During this mission, Xavier and Raven came across another enemy of the Club, a mutant master of magnetism, one Erik Lehnsherr. The man had evidently been on a decades long hunt to take out vengeance on the Hellfire Club's leader, Sebastian Shaw. He chose to join Xavier's cause in the fight to take down the Hellfire Club, whom had organized and manipulated a mass battle between the US and Cuba. While casualties happened, including an accident that cost Xavier the use of his legs, Charles, Erik, and Raven, and a small squad of elite US forces were able to prevent a full on war AND do so without outing themselves as mutants. Unfortunately, the entirety of the Hellfire Club escaped, though the threats inevitably ceased.

Charles, Raven, and Erik returned to Westchester where they would remain for a few years. Raven began spending a lot of time away, leaving Charles and Erik to aid each other in the mastery of their mutant abilities. And one day, Raven returned home with a new mission... to find the body of a mutant named Irene Adler, whom had been in cryogenic stasis for decades. This mission would ultimately Change the course of all of their lives.

Charles was able to locate Irene's body in a strange facility in Alkali Lake. Utilizing his immense telepathic might, he pulled Mystique and Magneto onto the Astral Plane with him in order to find Irene, whom had been trapped there in constant war with a frightening psionic mutant. Unfortunately, in this process, the three became trapped by the same people who had cryogenically frozen Irene's body. However, after all this time had passed, they had truly mastered the process, freezing their minds on the astral plane, as well, creating an even worse time lapse.

Years and years later, Charles was able to lessen the binds on his mind, allowing him to guide a strange, feral mutant whom had also been held by the people in Alkali Lake. This was due to the rather brutal atrocities being done to the mutant, forcing his cry for help to pound through the psychic plane and awaken Charles to some degree. Charles very subtle helped the mutant focus through the pain just enough to escape his binds. Though he could not prevent the massacre that followed, he was able to nudge the feral mutant in just the right way during his rampage, damaging the equipment holding the bodies of Irene, Raven, Erik, and Charles himself. They came out of stasis together, and Irene officially joined them as allies, prepared to learn about the new world with them.

The quartet remained together after purging from stasis, with the Xavier estate officially returned under his name. After searching for some time, they were able to locate the feral mutant whom he had nudged to free them. Xavier promised Logan he would help him discover the true nature of what had happened to him, considering everything before Alkali Lake had somehow been wiped from his mind. And later still, five became six when Xavier met and "recruited" a young weather manipulating mutant named Ororo.

Due to the heinous acts committed against mutants in Alkali Lake, not to mention his own horrors endured as a child, Erik eventually came to choose a path not aligned with Xavier's. Raven and Irene joined him in his quest while Logan and Ororo remained loyal to Xavier's vision.

    Alias(es):
    Age: Appears to be mid-50s.
    DOB: November 15, 1887

    Classification: Mutant
    Codename: Destiny
    Alliance: Brotherhood
Evo Canon, Comics Canon or Original: Canon

    Place of residence: New York
    Occupation:

    [Appearance]

    Height: 5'8
    Weight: 135 lbs
    Hair: Silver
    Eyes: Blind
    Skin: Smooth

    Build: MILF
Dress: Irene wears anything readily available in her closet. Anything.
    Other: She can't see.

    Play-By: Jamie Lee Curtis

    [Psychological Profile]

General Personality: Irene is genuinely passionate about mutant affairs. She's aligned herself with Magneto's cause, thanks to painful memories she's endured as a child, and horrifying possibilities she's seen in visions of the future.

She has a deep understanding of what true love is, and has experienced many passionate partners, men and women, over the years.

She is devoutly loyal to her core group, and to the cause.

She oddly likes to play really stupid pranks. She finds them hilarious.

    [Abilities]

Mutant Power(s): Precognition: Destiny receives visions of future possibilities. This can range from a few seconds to hundreds of years. Because she has limited control over what events she sees, she doesn't experience a level of "difficulty," but rather "chance". The further in the future an event is, the less accurate the outcome will likely be. Seeing something 10 seconds into the future will likely give her a 99% accuracy, vs 10 years into the future, which might be more like 25%.

Post-Cognition: Irene has some ability to tap into psychic imprints in location, allowing her limited, cloudy visions of very recent events in her surroundings.

Astral Projection: Irene is capable of projecting her consciousness via astral form. With this, she can appear anywhere around the globe at any point in time, either visibly or not. She is also able to project her consciousness onto the astral plane itself, where her abilities are highly magnetized, and somewhat different. She is able to interact with the astral plane itself, and communicate with those on the astral plane, even able to conduct some form of battle there. She is also able to forcibly pull astral forms from the bodies of those capable of existing on the astral form.

Biggest Drawback(s): Her precognitive powers are all chance based. She sees all possibilities, and a sequence of events only becomes more probable as time approaches it. It is impossible for her visions to be 100% accurate.

Her astral form leaves her body incredibly vulnerable, as her conscious mind is no longer in it. She cannot defend her physical body what-so-ever in this state.

    Non-mutant power(s): Some detective background.

    [Background Check]

    Hometown: Salzberg, Austria
    Birthplace: Salzber, Austria
Family: Justine Chase (daughter, deceased), Cole Chase (son-in-law, deceased), Trevor Chase (grandson, deceased), Ruth Aldine (grand-daughter)

    Criminal Record: No, but...

History: Irene was born in the late 1800s, Victorian era. She developed her mutant precognitive abilities at a very young age, which only became more powerful as time continued. Considered a witch, she was rushed out of her childhood home by her mother, who had her flee and hide. From a distance, she watched as her home was burned to the ground with her family still inside.

As Irene grew, she learned it was imperative to hide her abilities, and managed to live a mostly normal life, though she kept diaries of a specific branch of recurring visions that would lead her down a path of ultimately fighting for the mutant cause. This branch led her to her education in criminal justice, after which she became a detective, subtly using her abilities to aid her. She became married and had children.

Sometime in her thirties, an entity emerged from the depths of the astral plane. An extremely old mutant looking for a host, and dead set on some sort of world-domination. Fearing allowing her powers to be in the wrong hands, Irene set out to battle the beast on the astral plane. And during this battle, her body was taken by a mysterious person and cryogenically preserved, thus trapping her on the Astral Plane, mostly trying to find ways to hide from her foe.

Irene got few glimpses into the physical plane. She witnessed her children grow and have kids of her own. She witnessed her daughter Justine develop her own mutant powers, and hide them just as she had. She saw Justine's son being born, and he too developed mutant powers. And unfortunately, at his young age and with his immense reality warping abilities, it was too hard for them to hide. Justine's husband shot their son Chase in the head, then Justine, and finally himself.

At some point, as time became ambiguous to Irene, she found another mutant. Though this mutant was not able to access the astral realm, their energies somehow created similar enough mental frequencies that Irene was able to project her form out of the Astral Plane for short moments, enough time to interact with blue skinned, shapeshifting, Raven Darkholme, weird foster sister to a powerful telepath named Charles Xavier.

Charles, with the help of his cohorts, Mystique and Magneto, were able to locate Irene's body in a strange facility in Alkali Lake. Charles, utilizing his immense telepathic might, pulled Mystique and Magneto onto the Astral Plane with him in order to find Irene, help keep the frightening mutant at bay, and hopefully return safely. Unfortunately, in this process, they too became trapped by the same people who had cryogenically frozen Irene's body. However, after all this time had passed, they had truly mastered the process, freezing their minds on the astral plane, as well, creating an even worse time lapse.

Irene and Raven's astral forms were "frozen" together, and given Irene's far superior experience in the astral plane, she was able to communicate with Raven on some level. The developed the beginnings of their long love affair here.

Considering she was frozen for over seventy years, Irene had a lot of catch up to do. She no longer had sight, though it was not clear if it was due to her abilities, the decades long battle with the psychic mutant on the astral plane, or the archetype cryogenic machine she was harbored in. However, she and Raven brought their romance onto the physical realm with them.

Due to the heinous acts committed against mutants in Alkali Lake, not to mention his own horrors endured as a child, Erik chose a path not aligned with Xavier's. Raven and Irene joined him in his quest, thanks to Irene's burned childhood family, and the merciless slaughter of her daughter and grandson.

Xavier and Mystique are so bff they're like siblings. After a lot of shit, they meet Lehnsherr, who went through a lot of shit. Then Lehnsherr and Xavier are bffs. They make more friends. Destiny, Wolverine, and even Storm. And then more shit.

Lehnsherr's like, "fuck humans!" Xavier's like, "no."

They split.

Lehnsherr gets Mystique and Destiny.
Xavier gets Wolverine and Storm.

So much time. They grow up.

Wolverine leaves Xavier's; Storm stays. Mystique and Destiny are in <3, but Mystique's not aging, and Destiny's like

Shit happens.

Xavier's like "let's make an institute for gifted youngsters."
Lehnsherr's like, "hey, us too."

Enter the X-Men and the Brotherhood.

Magneto's like "Mystique, be a principal." Destiny's like "yeah." Mystique's like "got it."

Xavier's like, "Wolvie, come back, I love you, teach fighting." Storm's like, "No, totally don't do that." Xavier's like "yes". Wolverine's like, "Okay. ... ... ... Hang on a sec."

Hothead, Kaput, Omega, and Ink are Brotherhood.
Lightspeed goes to Bayville.

Logan's like, "Okay, omw. " Xavier's like, "Cool. Pick up little Kyle, he looks like Coral from The Walking Dead." Logan's like, "K. What's he smell like?" "Probably dog and poop." "You too, Chuck, take a bath, ya cripple." "Haha, Logan, you're so clever, I love you, teach fighting."

And THAT'S how it happened.
